I always prefer to steam the crust as it makes the crust harder and gives it a nice toasted flavor.     2. To the remaining pudding mixture, add 1 1/2 cups of Cool Whip and stir until combined. Spread the pastry pudding layer on top (for the second layer).
    3. Spread the rest of the Cool Whip on top (for the third layer) and cover with the supplied lid.
    4. Store in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours. It’s best to make ahead and refrigerate overnight.
    5. Before serving, sprinkle the top with chopped pecans if you like.

    Are you looking for an autumn flavor? These easy-to-bake pumpkin pies are perfect all season long! They’re made with pudding, pumpkin and gingersnaps.

    I guess it’s no longer a secret that I’m a huge fan of pumpkin flavors. With that in mind, I’m not a fan of pumpkin pie. I love to make a different variation of pumpkin pie that I just absolutely love – these Without cooking the pumpkin pies in a Jar.

    I use a gingerbread cookie for the dough.

    Just a note on this recipe: it does A LOT! But, that’s OK! You will notice that there are no servings in this recipe.

    You can choose very small or half-liter glass jars. The remnants of the pumpkin pudding and whipped cream mixture taste delicious. Better yet, use a cookie to dip into it!

    You will need:

    • 1 cup of milk
    • 2 packages of vanilla pudding (4 oz)
    • 15 ounces of canned pumpkin
    • 2 teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice
    • 2 cups of heavy whipping cream
    • 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
    • 8 ounces of cream cheese, softened
    • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
    • 1 pack of Voortman Pumpkin Spice Cookies or Gingersnaps
    • Small glass jars

    First make a layer of pumpkin by mixing the vanilla pudding and milk. Add the pumpkin and spices.

    Then prepare the whipped cream. It’s so easy. You can follow my whipped cream recipe here. After making the whipped cream, beat the cream cheese.

    In each glass jar arrange the pumpkin paste, the cake and finish with the whipped cream.

    Over the whipped cream, crumble the biscuit.
