How to get free samples

How to Get Free Samples Online

There are plenty of free offers online, all you have to do is find them. Nothing is “truely free”, but to get free samples it only takes minutes of your time.

Why Do Websites Give Away Products Free?

You may wonder why a website would offer their product free of charge (and no shipping cost). Having someone try your product is the best way to get them to buy it. Another powerful tool in advertising is word of mouth.

Many products that I have “sampled” I went on to buy, so that statement holds true (at least for me). Many free samples also come with coupons to purchase the product. A free sample will only last so long.

How To Get Free Samples

Of course a great way to get free samples is to read and subscribe to this blog. We post the latest and greatest free samples available.

The best advice I have to give for getting free samples is to sign-up to as many as you can. This way it will ensure you will receive something. Not every freebie you sign up for will be sent out to you, if the offer is too good to be true, it probably is.

Tips for Freebies

Don’t use a P.O box to register for freebies. Almost every offer prohibit PO boxes and will not send free samples to them.

Register for free samples with a alternate email address. Some offers require you to confirm with a valid email. They basically want to put you on a mailing list, but you may have to “confirm” the free sample via email. You may want to set-up an email account strictly for free samples.

Read the fine print
. Some free sample offers need you to complete things first or charge for shipping.

NEVER enter in your credit card, if they ask you for a credit card it most likely is NOT FREE. Chances are you will get charged and sometimes it’s hard to get them to stop charging your account.

Free Sample Sites

Of course we want you to read our site, but it would be impossible for us to list every free sample offer online. Here is a list of places you can get free samples along with our site.

Its All Free Online features at least one free sample, freebie, or a great savings offer daily. This isn’t limited to free samples, we also share coupon codes, sales, and store promotions.

Facebook and Twitter – If you are more into social media, never miss another free sample again. Become a fan of free samples on Facebook and/or follow NewFreeSamples on Twitter.

Walmart constantly offers free samples. This is one of the best places to actually receive free samples from. They offer a range of products, but a lot of shampoo, bodywash, and other personal care items are often given away.

Absurdly Cool – It is an automated free stuff aggregator. It is designed to collect free stuff offers from top freebie sites, while filtering out most scams and referral pyramids.

For daily free samples, sign up to our RSS feed.

How to get free samples

Few things are actually free. There are often strings attached, such as taking a survey or giving up more information than you really want. But what if you could get free stuff regularly without doing anything? You’d be in, right? Below, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite places to get free samples so you don’t have to scour the internet looking for them.

Freestuff.com

FreeStuff.com aggregates the best free samples with no surveys. You can browse by category or search if you’re looking for something specific. You’ll find lots of free makeup and beauty samples, and there are even free sporting goods from time to time. Check the site often to snag the best offers. Most of the offers on FreeStuff.com require no more than an email address or mailing address.

Women Freebies

It’s all in the name: Women Freebies collects the best free samples for women, including beauty, baby, home, perfume and pet items. Many offers require only an email address and your name, but pay attention to the fine print. Women Freebies is very clear on what you need to do to score these deals.

Walmart

Walmart has a fantastic free sample box for new parents called the Welcome Baby Box. This free gift is offered to parents-to-be who sign up for a Walmart registry. It’s filled with diapers, wipes, formula, pacifiers and more.

Target

Not to be outdone, Target also offers new parents a fantastic welcome kit worth $120 containing coupons, samples and more. You just need to create a baby registry with Target and visit guest services on your next Target run.

FreeFlys

FreeFlys collects the best free beauty samples, free baby and kids samples and so much more. The site has been featured on the Today show, ABC and Fox. FreeFlys’ categories—Free Samples, Free Stuff, Save Money and Make Money—are broken out to make snagging a freebie even easier.

Sample Source

SampleSource allows you to try products before you buy. When you sign up, you’ll select the products you’re interested in and they’ll be shipped straight to your door. Make sure you select categories and interests with care, because your samples and freebies will be based on your choices so you get products that are relevant.

Enfamil

New parents know how expensive formula can be. It’s one of the largest expenses new parents face outside of diapers, so every bit of help counts. When you sign up for Enfamil’s Family Beginnings program, you’ll get free formula samples by mail, along with coupons for your next purchase, a free gift and more.

Tryspree

Want to get access to more than 2,000 free samples without doing anything? TrySpree is the place to do it. There are no forms or fees. Just set up your account and you’ll have free samples on the way in no time. You can even set up your account to have TrySpree ship free samples automatically.

Sample a Day

Sample a Day takes a different approach from the other sites on this list and posts a new free sample each day. The offers vary by category, so check the site frequently if there’s a product you’re interested in. There are free samples from almost any brand you can think of on Sample a Day, and the descriptions for each deal will keep you entertained and coming back for more.

I Love Free Things

I Love Free Things sends free samples to your inbox twice a week. There are no strings attached; all you have to do is provide an email address. It’s a fantastic curated list of freebies and deals, and all you have to do is read the email.

Internet Steals and Deals

Each month, self-proclaimed freebie expert Becky (a.k.a. the Freebie Lady) curates hundreds of free samples that are delivered by mail. She started the website in college, and she’s now operating both the site and a YouTube channel. It’s her mission to bring free samples to the masses.

Similac

Similac’s Strong Moms program is similar to Enfamil’s offering. Sign up to get more than $400 worth of free samples and coupons delivered by mail. Similac’s offer also includes a free Shutterfly photo book, so you can document all those special memories with your new baby.

Final Thoughts

These are just a few of the no-strings-attached free-sample sites out there, but there are plenty more to explore. On your journey to freebie bliss, you’ll run across offers that require you to complete a survey or provide feedback. There are scams out there, but here are a few tips to follow to stay safe:

How to get free samplesRead the fine print.
Legitimate free-sample sites will provide detailed instructions for how to snag a freebie, so read carefully before handing over your information.

How to get free samplesUse a secondary email address .
It’s a good practice to create an email account just for free samples, coupons and other offers. That way your main account is protected from spam and potential scammers.

How to get free samplesWatch out for offers that are too good to be true.
This goes for most things in life, but it’s especially true with free samples. If the offer seems unrealistic, it probably is.

How to get free samplesPut away your credit card .
You should never have to use a credit card to get free samples. If a site or company asks for one, turn the other way.

How to get free samplesGo to the source .
If you want to verify a free sample or deal, head to the company’s website first to verify the details. This isn’t always possible, but it’s a good practice. Pay attention to the URL. If it seems suspect, it probably is.

How to get free samplesDon’t you hate it when you find a so-called “freebie” site that makes you fill out surveys (page after page) in order to ship you a few small (and in most cases useless) free samples?

Most of the time, you don’t even get the promised freebie.

The site turns out to be a scam just harvesting your information so they can sell it to advertisers.

The good news is that there are ways to get free things legitimately, without a catch or strings attached.

A few different ways actually:

  1. Requesting samples directly from stores that offer it, like Walmart and Target.
  2. You can go through sites that offer freebies in exchange for participating in their surveys.
  3. You can also get stuff via product testing programs.
  4. And then there are those freebies sites where you can get free samples of hundreds of different products with no catch, no strings attached and without filling out surveys.

I bet that last option is what you’re interested in. So let’s get started.

Table of Contents

1. Totally Free Crap

Totally Free Crap is one site that needs to be more appreciated.

This site is a treasure trove of information on getting products samples from all kinds of companies.

What I love about this site is that they don’t bore you with a long post explaining how great it is to get this or that item for free. When you click on the image link, you go straight to the manufacturer’s page where you can fill out the form to get your free sample shipped to you.

The site categorizes things very neatly. You can find stuff from pet food/toys and kid freebies and samples to magazines, makeup, shampoo, and more.

2. Woman Freebies

Woman Freebies is one of those not very well-known sites that have a very loyal following.

Their selection of freebies and samples ranges from food related stuff all the way to health and beauty samples.

Best of all, WF has daily sweepstakes that you can enter for free to win awesome prizes and cash.

3. Freeflys

You may have even seen people talk about Freeflys on TV. They were featured on many talk and morning shows such as the Today Show.

Using their search function you can easily drill down and find the sample or freebie you want without spending hours trying to weed through tons of useless coupons and promos.

4. Sample A Day

Want free samples by mail with no surveys or catch?

Sample A Day is your best bet!

This is not a traditional freebie site. It’s a curation of all the best freebies and sample available on the internet. Almost like a database. You enter a search term (free makeup samples, perfume samples, etc) and the site then links you to the sites that provide those freebies.

5. Free Stuff Times

What I like about Free Stuff Times is that they also provide information of full-size freebies, not just samples.

For example, at the time of writing this post, they had a post showing people how to get a free 22 oz can of Pedigree wet dog food from Kmart (you can get it by installing the Kmart app).

It’s definitely worth bookmarking and coming back to check for new freebies.

6. Freebies 4 Mom

Freebies 4 Mom was founded in 2007 by Heather Hernandez.

She finds and shares sources of samples and freebies for any kind of item a mom may need, from free diapers to magazines and everything in between.

7. Hey It’s Free

There are a ton of stuff on Hey It’s Free.

And you know what the best part is?

They can all be found easily thanks to this site’s organization strategy. You can browse freebies by category or search directly for an exact item.

Takeaway

Getting free samples isn’t as hard as you may think. You just have to know where to look and what to avoid.

If there is any other site that you get free product samples from that’s not listed here, please leave a comment below and I’ll add it to this list.

Personally, I have always loved http://www.mysavings.com. They are not led by Ads, and they have a full list of categories that extends much further than just free samples. Best of all, if you sign up as a member, they actually honor the preferences you select for emails. I can’t stand receiving email ads from a site that’s set up promoting itself as a page to help. Free should be free. 🙂
Great work, BTW. I have to have already read a dozen articles so far.! Thanks!

How to get free samples

The average American spends $5,253 a month on buying products.

That’s a lot of money and do you know what’s worse?

According to the New York Post, $1,497 of that is wasted on things that aren’t essential or even enjoyable.

One awesome way to cut down on waste is to be sure that you will like something before you buy it.

And that’s where free samples come in.

The company gives you a little taste of what’s to come for free and if you’re impressed then you can make a future purchasing commitment.

How To Get Free Samples: The 7 Golden Rules

There are plenty of different ways to get free samples and it’s important to realize that they won’t always work 100% of the time.

They do work often enough, however, to be worth pursuing and here are our tips to get you started:

  • Subscribe to our mailing list. We send out a quality free sample every single day of the year but be quick! Great online samples are snapped up fast and if you snooze, you will lose. Don’t worry though, the good news is that there will always be another sample tomorrow.
  • Always provide the right information. Free samples are a trade. Your information for the company’s free stuff. Whenever you respond to a free sample offer make sure to include the right contact details for them to send you your stuff.
  • Don’t be afraid of short questionnaires. Some companies will want a bit more information from you above and beyond your name and address. Don’t be afraid to complete a short questionnaire to get your free stuff.
  • Don’t do long questionnaires. While some freebies will need a short questionnaire, you shouldn’t fall for the trick of completing a questionnaire that’s a dozen pages long, either. These are typically a sign of a data harvesting scam and not a genuine freebie.
  • Ask for free samples wherever you think they may be on offer. Free samples are usually provided by companies selling consumable goods such as perfume, cookies, ballpoint pens, etc. these are all things that people use up and buy again. If there’s a product you’d really love to try and can’t find on our site – write to their marketing team and ask for samples. If you see something on a department store makeup counter that interests you, ask for a sample. You’ll be amazed at how many freebies you can get just by asking.
  • Look for free sample opportunities. Supermarkets, malls, markets, etc. often have sampling opportunities available and if you’re observant, you can normally pick up a few freebies every time that you shop.
  • Sign up for freebies that you love. Loyalty programs from your favorite brands often promote free stuff (and discounted products too) during the course of the year. Joining loyalty programs, downloading a company’s app and then keeping an eye on your inbox can really reap big rewards when it comes to free stuff.

Final Thoughts On How To Get Free Samples

Getting free samples is actually very easy.

We send you a free sample opportunity every single day of the year when you join our mailing list and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

When you start asking for freebies, watching out for freebies and signing up for loyalty freebies, they’ll come thick and fast and you’ll wonder how you ever got by without all this free stuff in your life before.

Best of all, it will help you to stop overspending and keep more of your money for the things that really matter!
