Adventure together to evolve Pancham

How to evolve pancham into pangoro in pokémon x and y

If you’re lucky and have already caught a few of them then you’re probably wondering about the method to evolve Pancham into Pangoro in Pokémon GO. Like many recent additions to the game, it tasks you once again with the mission to “adventure together to evolve”. But what does this mean for this “playful” new addition to the mobile hit phenomenon? Here’s how to evolve Pancham into Pangoro in Pokémon GO.

How to Evolve Pancham into Pangoro

We explained in general what “adventure together to evolve” means, in case you were wondering for any other Pokémon. For Pancham specifically it means toset him as your buddy and then catch a lot of Dark-type Pokémon. How many? 32 of them to be precise. This might seem like an odd number to go with, but it actually makes a lot of sense if you’ve played the main series games.

Pancham always evolves at level 32, but leveling is a very different thing in Pokémon GO. It wouldn’t make a lot of sense to lock Pangoro behind a level limit like that, so instead you have to perform this task of catching 32 Dark-type Pokémon while Pancham is your buddy. You also still need Candy, of course. So the full set of tasks you need to complete are…

  • Catch Pancham
  • Set Pancham as your buddy
    • Tap your buddy
    • Scroll down
    • Tap Swap Buddies
    • Choose the Pancham you wish to eventually evolve
  • Catch 32 Dark-type Pokémon
  • Gather 50 Pancham Candy via catching or Rare Candy
  • Open the Pokémon menu and choose the same Pancham
  • Tap “evolve”

And that’s how to evolve Pancham into Pangoro in Pokémon GO. This will cost you the 50 Candy, but by the end you will have a brand new and more powerful species in your Dex. Now we all wait for the release of Shiny Pancham so we can do it all over again.

Thanks to a bewildering effort by Pokemon GO players worldwide, Niantic will be introducing two new Pokemon to the game: Pancham, and its evolution, Pangoro.

These two will be added today, May 11th, at 10:00 AM local time. This means that some players out there are already capable of catching the gutsy little panda Pokemon for themselves.

As players of the mainline series Pokemon games may know, Pancham’s evolution into Pangoro is slightly out of the ordinary. It has the ordinary requirement of reaching a certain level (level 32), but it also requires that the player have a Dark-type Pokemon in their party.

So the question on many Pokemon GO player’s minds is: will this unorthodox evolutionary requirement be reflected in Pokemon GO? And if so, how?

How to evolve Pancham into Pangoro in Pokemon GO

To make a long story short: Pancham’s evolution into Pangoro in Pokemon GO is completely and totally ordinary. There are no unusual requirements that need to be met, nor anything involving a Dark-type team member. This is both disappointing, as the idea of Pangoro gaining its Dark typing from a party member’s influence was a fun and unique concept, and a relief, as it makes getting a Pangoro that much easier for newer players.

All a player needs to do to evolve Pancham into Pangoro is to get 50 Pancham candies. That’s it. It’s as easy as that.

As for actually getting that candy. well, that’s another story entirely.

Pancham will be available in Tier 1 raids as soon as it becomes available today at 10 AM local time and will be in these raids until, at the earliest, May 18th at the same time. Whether or not it stays in the raid rotation as well, Pancham will become hatchable from mystery 12km eggs obtained from Team GO Rocket leaders.

To get a Pangoro, players will need to catch/hatch enough of these Panchams to get 50 candies, plus one extra Pancham to evolve.

For the last week, players around the world have been taking part in Pokemon GO’s latest event – Luminous Legends X.

The event has seen lots of exciting additions to the game including four new Pokemon families, a range of new raid bosses and a Global Catch Challenge.

The challenge, which started alongside the event, has already been completed, meaning players get a bunch of further rewards – one of which is another new Pokemon, Pancham.

Like all of the other new Pokemon in the Luminous Legends X event, this has a special evolution method – so, here’s how to evolve Pancham in Pokemon GO.

  • MORE EVOLUTION – How to Evolve Spritzee into Aromatisse in Pokemon GO

The Global Catch Challenge saw players come together and catch over 500 million Fairy-type Pokemon within the challenge window, which lasted just over a week.

In doing so, players unlocked a variety of rewards, including another brand new Pokemon to the game Pancham.

Alongside Pancham, players have unlocked Shiny Galarian Ponyta and triple Catch XP, which will run all the way through until May 17.

Trainers, we’re pleased to announce that you’ve caught enough Fairy-type Pokémon to complete the challenge! There’s really no limit to what y’all can do when you work together! 🎉 pic.twitter.com/dlKW9LchQ8

How to Evolve Pancham into Pangoro in Pokemon GO.

In the mainline Pokemon games, Pancham also had a special evolution method.

Players would need to reach level 32 whilst having a Dark-type Pokemon somewhere in their party.

Obviously, parties aren’t a thing in Pokemon GO, unless you include your PVP/Raid Battle Teams. However, they aren’t traditional parties – so instead, Niantic has had to come up with the next closest thing.

To evolve Pancham into Pangoro, there are a couple of steps players will need to complete.

First, players need to set Pancham as their buddy Pokemon, which is easy enough. Then, once Pancham is set as the buddy, players will need to catch 32 Dark-type Pokemon.

Obviously Dark-types have been hard to come by recently, however, with the Luminous Legends Y event on the horizon, there is hope that there will be an abundance in the wild.

Pangoro’s design, with its coat-like fur and leafy sprig in its mouth, is reminiscent of a “bancho,” a Japanese term for a stereotypical delinquent gang leader. Some have theorized that Pancham’s evolution into Pangoro is meant to represent the impressionable little Pokémon falling in with a bad crowd. Well, if it’s a crowd of Pangoros, sign me up. Here’s how to evolve Pancham in Pokémon GO.

In the mainline Pokémon games, all you had to do to evolve a Pancham into Pangoro was get it up to a particular level, then level it up one more time with at least one Dark-type Pokémon in your party. The problem with that is that Pokémon GO doesn’t really do parties in the traditional sense, so if you want to expose your Pancham to bad influences, you’re gonna have to take a different approach.

How to Evolve Pancham in Pokémon GO

First of all, you’re gonna need 50 Pancham Candy. Since Pancham can’t be found in the wild just yet, that means you’re gonna need to beat a lot of Panchams in 1-Star Raids as well as catch them. You can also hatch lots of them from Strange Eggs dropped by the Team Rocket admins starting next week, if you’re good enough to beat them on a consistent basis.

Once you’ve got the candy, the next order of business is exposing Pancham to Dark-type Pokémon. To do this, you’ll need to make Pancham your walking buddy (which you should do anyway, ‘cause it can get you some extra candy) and catch at least 32 Dark-type Pokémon while it’s walking with you. Normally, this would be a bit of a problem, as there’s no surefire to make Dark-type Pokémon show up aside from looking at night, but you’re in luck: when the Luminous Legends Y event starts next week on May 18th, spawns of Dark-types like Carvanah and Houndour will be boosted, likely in theme with Yveltal’s own Dark/Flying typing.

Once you catch 32 Dark types in Pancham’s presence, you can evolve it from its status page. Congratulations, you’ve got a big, hairy bancho of a Pangoro to call your own.

Pangoro (Japanese: ゴロンダ Goronda) is a dual-type Fighting/Dark Pokémon introduced in Generation VI.

It evolves from Pancham starting at level 32, if the player has a Dark-type Pokémon in their party.

Biology

Pangoro is a large bipedal Pokémon resembling a humanoid panda bear. It has a stocky build with a round belly, short legs, and long arms with large paws. Its head and belly are covered in thick white fur, while its lower body, chest, arms, and back are covered in equally thick dark gray fur. A long cape of this dark gray fur hangs down behind its back; in combination with the rest of the dark-furred pattern, this gives the impression that Pangoro is wearing a long coat and trousers. Pangoro’s three-fingered paws have shorter, darker fur and are tipped with black claws. It has a blunt snout with a triangular black nose, rounded black ears, prominent fangs in its lower jaw, and black semicircles under its brow that make its eyes indistinguishable. Pangoro likes to carry a thin-stemmed shoot with two leaves in its mouth. This small bamboo shoot is used to sense the movements of those around it.

Despite its cantankerous demeanor, Pangoro is kind to those it considers to be its friends and it does not tolerate those who pick on the weak. With arms powerful enough to snap a telephone pole, it charges into battle like a berserker, heedless of any damage it might suffer. Pangoro can destroy a dump truck in one punch and utilizes this strength when pummeling its opponents. Many Trainers find themselves smitten with its lively nature; however, those who wish to train a Pangoro for themselves will have to fight one. It lives to engage in duels with Obstagoon. Pangoro and its pre-evolved form, Pancham, are the only known Pokémon capable of learning Arm Thrust in Pokémon Sword and Shield. In the past, Parting Shot held this status.

Niantic recently released a Fighting-type Pokemon, Pancham, in one-star raids. Pancham has been made available following the completion of the Global Challenge that required trainers to catch 500 million Fairy-type Pokemon.

The Global Challenge was released on May 4th along with the Luminous Legends X challenges, and trainers had time till May 9th to complete it.

Trainers across the world put up a great effort, and the challenge was completed successfully. Hence, Niantic had to roll out Pancham in raids from May 11th.

Congratulations on completing the Fairy-type Pokémon challenge, Trainers! You can enjoy the following.

🦄 Potential to find Shiny Galarian Ponyta

On May 13, 2021, YouTuber and Pokemon Go trainer, Trainer Tips, revealed in a video that Pancham is one of the most difficult Pokemon to evolve.

Pokemon Go: Evolving Pancham into Pangoro

Pancham is a Fighting-type Pokemon that was originally found in the Kalos region (Gen 6). The cute little Pokemon evolves into Pangoro, which is a Dark and Fighting-type Pokemon. The combined types make it one of the best Pokemon, specifically for PvP matches.

Trainers have been raiding Pancham since it was introduced in the game to collect Pancham candies. In order to evolve Pancham into Pangoro, 50 candies are required.

Trainer Tips revealed that Pokemon Go trainers would be required to go on an adventure with Pancham. And they will be able to evolve Pancham into Pangoro only after the adventure has been completed.

— Couple of Gaming (@coupleofgaming) May 11, 2021

Trainers are required to catch 32 Dark-type Pokemon with Pancham as their buddy to complete the adventure. Once the adventure has been completed, trainers can use their 50 Pancham candies to evolve Pancham into Pangoro.

How to evolve pancham into pangoro in pokémon x and y

Earlier, it was difficult to evolve Pancham into Pangoro as the Luminous Legends X event saw an increased spawn of Fairy-type Pokemon.

The Luminous Legends Y event, which commences on May 18th, will feature Yveltal, a Dark and Flying-type Pokemon. Hence, trainers can experience an increased spawn of Dark-type Pokemon during this event.

Yveltal will soon be making its Pokémon GO debut in the Luminous Legends Y event! Mysteriously, Dark-type Pokémon will also be appearing more often, and Pancham will be hatching from Strange Eggs. https://t.co/SYISqECR3v pic.twitter.com/y2k9my2QSi

The Dark and Fighting-type makes a deadly combination for the PvP matches. Therefore, Pangoro becomes a favorable option for trainers to use for PvP.

The perfect Pangoro for the Great League should be level 19.5 with 0/13/13 as the A/D/S. This has become a major problem as Pancham is only available via raids and would be a level 20 Pokemon.

How to evolve Pancham to Pangoro:
🐼Set Pancham as buddy and catch 32 dark type #PokemonGO pic.twitter.com/q4aVOrVh9s

Niantic has not yet confirmed whether Pancham will be introduced as wild spawn in the game. It is anticipated that the Fighting-type Pokemon will be available as one of the Pokemon in the 12 km eggs.

Pokemon hatched from the eggs are of Level 15 except when they hatch in boosted weather conditions. The 12 km egg is tough to get hold of, and the probability of Pancham hatching out of it is really low.

Trainers must also avoid cloudy weather as Pancham is boosted by cloudy weather. The cloudy weather makes evolving Pancham into a Great League PvP Pangoro really difficult.

Pangoro could also be used in the Ultra League and would require 0/14/15 statistics in Level 34.5. For the Master League, a perfect IV is required for rank 1 Pangoro.

Pangoro is vulnerable to Fairy, Fighting, and Flying-type attacks. Hence, trainers are advised to watch out for Togekiss, Gardevoir, Conkeldurr, and Lucario from the opponent’s side during a PvP match.

Watch out for Dark-type Pokemon.

When it comes to evolving Pokemon in Pokemon Go, most pocket monsters can be evolved by simply collecting the required number of Pokemon Candy. However, there are a few Pokemon that have unique evolutionary requirements. For instance, you can only evolve Spritzee into Aromatisse after activating an Incense while Spritzee is your Buddy Pokemon.

Another one of these unique Pokemon is Pancham, a Fighting-type Pokemon from the sixth generation of the Pokemon universe.

As Joe Merrick, webmaster at Serebii, pointed out on Twitter, Pancham can only be evolved into Pangoro after you’ve captured 32 Dark-type Pokemon while Pancham is your Buddy.

Typically, Dark-type Pokemon aren’t very common in Pokemon Go, but at the time of this writing, the Luminous Legends Y event is taking place in the mobile game, which is causing more Dark-type Pokemon than normal to appear in the wild. If you want to add Pangoro to your collection, make sure to make Pancham your Buddy before you start catching these Dark-type pocket monsters!

As you catch Dark-type Pokemon, you can check on your progress by viewing Pancham’s screen in your Pokemon collection. Under the evolve button, you’ll see the text “Adventure together to evolve.” When you tap the down arrow to the left of this text, you’ll see a counter that will show how many Dark-type Pokemon you’ve captured until you hit the requirement of 32.
