For many players, raising Inkay’s level to 30 was a fairly quiet experience in Pokemon X and Y. I myself was surprised to find that it has evolved beyond that point as well.

It seems that nintendo has broken with the whole Mega Evolution as they now only bring absolutely useless demands to the evolution of your Pokemon.

For more information on Pokemon X and Y, read our HM and TM positions, EV training, and IV guide.

Throw away all your knowledge of old regular evolutions and scrub your Pokemon’s magic stones in hopes that they mutate because we’re not having fun anymore.

If you want to turn your Inkay into Malamar, you have to take matters into your own hands (literally) and turn the 3DS upside down.

Was it the sound of your brain stopping? Why was that so! Believe it or not, this is the only way this Pokemon can evolve. When your Inkay reaches level 30, flip the handheld device to activate evolution.

When you look at the differences between Inkay and Malamar, the method suddenly makes sense. See the tentacles on the Malamar’s head? Don’t they look just like Inkay’s legs? And the pattern of the crown on top of the Inkay’s head looks just like the lower half of the Malamar’s body.

Still I’d be surprised if anyone managed to figure out this evolution on their own. Good luck and Catch ‘em All!

How to evolve inkay into malamar in pokémon x and y

Inkay is a dark psychic spinning Pokemon – indicating its special evolutionary needs – and therefore has very few weaknesses.

Inkay is immune to psychic attacks, but is weak against fairy attacks and is particularly vulnerable to insect attacks. All other attack types deal regular damage. As such, you’ll want to approach Inkay with a similarly-levelled Pokemon using weak-to-moderate power attacks.

Inkay can be found in the wild from level 26 to level 45. Weaker Inkay can be found in Hammerlocke Hills and Bridge Field, with stronger specimens roaming Route 7, Circchester Bay and the Bridge Field, Giant’s Mirror and Dusty Bowl docks. under appropriate weather conditions.

With weaker Inkay forms, you will likely be able to get away with using Great Ball, but those who are level 40 and above will most likely want to use Ultra Balls.

Quick Orbs always have a chance to catch an Inkay when thrown in the first move of a match, and if you’re deep in the game with Pokémon that are strong enough to defeat a champion, you can try a level ball.

How to evolve Inkay into Malamar in Pokémon Sword and Shield

How to evolve inkay into malamar in pokémon x and y

Inkay has one of the most unique evolution requirements of any Pokémon in Pokémon Sword and Shield. The evolution process helps explain why Inkay is classified as a Rotary Pokémon and why Malamar is a Rotary Pokémon.

Malamar Inkay’s evolution process is to flip nintendo Switch when it reaches level 30 or higher. To avoid the insane immersion on the console, many players prefer to activate the Inkay Evolution manually using the nintendo Switch console item in handheld mode.

To keep it simple, here’s a step by step guide on how to evolve an Inkay into a Malamar:

  1. Capture Inkay.
  2. If Inkay is below level 29, put him on your team and train him up to level 29.
  3. If Inkay is level 30 or higher, put him on your team.
  4. Enter the bag and hover over Exp. Candies and select the correct amount (four small Exp. Candies should be enough for Level 29 Inkay) or rare candies – both are in the Other Items pocket.
If you check the Pokemon summary you can see how many XP it takes to level up. S esp. Candy gives you 800 xp, M Exp. Candy gives you 3000 xp and L Exp. Candy gives you 10,000 XP.
  5. Before pressing to power up Inkay, flip the nintendo Switch console for handheld mode.
  6. From here, select the XP boost item and deliver it to Inkay.
  7. Dopo che ha detto che Inkay ha raggiunto il livello, dovresti uscire dalla schermata della borsa toccando il pulsante "B" per vedere l’evoluzione di Inkay.
  8. You can flip your nintendo Switch console as Inkay begins to evolve into Malamar.

How to use Malamar (strengths and weaknesses)

Malamar is a Pokemon with a dark psyche, so it is only weak against fairy attacks, but very weak against insect attacks. Immune to all psychic attacks, the other moves only deal normal damage to Malamar.

His limited weaknesses give Malamar obvious advantages, as do his abilities. The reverse is very useful for further suppressing opponents, as the moves used on Malamar lower the stats instead of increasing them.

Conversely, it also means your opponent’s moves that raise their stats rather than lower them, but very few opponents choose to boost your Pokémon. The exception, however, is Swagger, who confuses your Pokémon as well, so Contrary is useful in that respect as well.

Malamar’s other possible ability is Suction Cups, which prevents the Overturning Pokemon from being forced into switching out. Inkay’s evolution can also have the hidden ability Infiltrator, which allows Malamar to ignore any stat boosts provided by an opponent using Substitute, Safeguard, Light Screen, or Reflect.

Inkay’s evolution in Malamar is certainly strange, but in the current situation, no wild sightings of Malamar have been reported. It can be encountered in Max Raid Battles, but it’s often at a high level.

There you have it: your Inkay just transformed into a Malar. You now have a deceptive Pokemon in its type – being dark-psychic instead of some form of water-type as it’s essentially a squid – that is immune to psychic attacks and only weak to bug and fairy moves.

Do you want to evolve your Pokemon?

Inkay’s evolution process can get a little convoluted, so here’s what we know about the Malamar acquisition

How to evolve inkay into malamar in pokémon x and y

As Pokémon GO rolls out more Pokémon from the sixth generation of games, Pokémon X & Y, many players are wondering how developer niantic will incorporate the adorable squid Inkay, and how to evolve Inkay into Malamar. While we don’t expect Malamar to rival the best Pokémon in Pokémon GO, it certainly has a niche usefulness in the main series games, and will undoubtedly cause havoc in PvP battles.

Inkay’s evolution process is totally unique to mainstream games in that it involves flipping the console over when you reach level 30. Obviously your Switch has to be in manual mode to do this in Pokémon Sword and Shield, but will this translate into the game? cell phone?

Some players were disappointed with Shedinja’s entrance into Pokémon GO, as its unique evolution mechanic in the main series games was simply ignored in favour of introducing it as a Field Research Breakthrough reward. However, we’ve gathered everything we know about Inkay in Pokémon GO, including where to catch it and how to evolve it.

Here’s everything you need to know about a fallen squid:

Where to catch Inkay in Pokémon GO

Inkay is not currently available in Pokémon GO, but data mines have revealed that it will be arriving soon. As Generation VI Pokémon continue to be released, we expect to see Inkay in the near future.

When he arrives, his dark / psychic type would suggest that he can often be found at night. However, recent Pokémon GO add-ons like Scrafty and Frillish were first released as GO Battle League rewards before they hit the world, so that might be an option too.

However, Inkay’s evolution process can be a little more complicated.

How to evolve an Inkay in Pokémon GO

Data Mines have revealed that after launch, players will be able to evolve Inkay by flipping the phone. We anticipate there will also be demand for candy and estimate 50 Inkay candies.

It’s worth noting that datamines are not set in stone and any game mechanics or additions are subject to change. As soon as we know how to evolve Inkay for sure, we’ll update this guide with the requirements.

That’s all there is to know about adding Inkay to Pokémon GO, but fans are also hungry for more information about Eevee’s fan-favorite evolution, the fairy-type Sylveon, also introduced in Generation VI and probably added to Pokémon GO with its unique evolution method soon.

Tripbob. com – Pokemon Sword and Shield Inkay is a Pokemon that you can get and evolve into Malamar if you know what you should do. Well, Inkay’s Malamar involvement in Pokemon Sword and Shield is a little tricky as it doesn’t include a specific item. Rather, you need to interface with the console itself in a certain way.

For those of you who want to know how Inkay evolves, you’ve come to the right place! We have provided you with a practical guide on how to develop Inkay. Now scroll through this text carefully to level up your Pokemon game!

1. How to evolve Inkay into Sword and Shield in Malamar

To evolve Pokemon Sword and Shield Inkay into Malamar you have to flip the console in manual mode before it starts to evolve at level 30. That’s why you have to do how to evolve Inkay.

First, make sure your Switch’s gyro options are turned on and working properly. So when your Inkay reaches level 30, put your Switch in manual mode. Go into battle with any Inkay Pokemon.

When you win, don’t leave a message right after the fight. Instead, you have to flip the console counterclockwise and press A at this very moment to exit the dialogue. Keep it upside down until the evolving animation is complete.

On the other hand, you can feed your Inkay Exp. Candy, so quickly flip the console over before development begins. Some people say you can do this in docked mode by simply flipping your console over. But we are not suggesting you do this.

Turning it all into a portable device is a surefire way to be successful. Additionally, there are many claims that Inkay is able to evolve above level 30 when he reaches level again. In any case, we don’t know if this is legitimate or not.

2. How to evolve Inkay into Pokemon X and Y

Now we will learn how to evolve Inkay into Pokemon X and Y. Well, the Pokemon X and Y Pokedex designers have gone crazy trying to discover better approaches to Pokemon evolution.

While the evolution of Pancham into Pangoro is intriguing and the evolution of the Sylveon technique is adorable, neither sheds light on the madness that is Inkay’s evolution into Malamar.

Really, it’s one you’ll never figure out on your own, especially if you’re used to common evolution strategies in previous Pokemon games. Do you think you will level it or rub a stone against it? You have to think about it again.

After level 30, Inkay is able to evolve, however to successfully complete it you need to flip your 3DS while leveling. Yes, you have to flip and hold it the wrong way throughout the level and it will transform into a Malamar.

It makes sense when you get to know him, since Malamar looks like an inverted Inkay at the same time, but it’s still a huge departure from how average evolution works. We are back in the post-Mega Evolution world, so nothing is inviolable.

3. Secret advice on Inkay’s evolution

Pokemon – Photo by r / pokemon on Reddit

Inkay is a dual type of Dark / Psychic Pokemon and was first introduced in the sixth generation X and Y games for the nintendo 3DS console.

Now we will learn the tricks to evolve Inkay.

To evolve it into its final form, you need to get it. This should be possible in both new Switch games by going to Route 7 and Route 9’s Chichester Bay, or the Bridge Field, Hammerlocke Hills, Dusty Bowl, and Giant’s Mirror areas in the wilderness.

For the best chance of getting one, head to Hammerlock Hills when the weather is cloudy with a 30% chance of a random experience. Inkay can be found in various places.

Once you have Inkay, you will need to control him up to level 30. This should be possible by doing the usual combat, using rare candies or using XP candies obtained from raids.

However, it will not evolve as usual when it reaches 30. Rather, just before reaching the level, you will have to actually hold your nintendo Switch console upside down. If you follow it carefully, your monster will begin its evolution procedure before entering the wild Malamar. Congratulations!

biology

Malamar is a Pokémon that looks like an upside down squid. Several purple tentacles with blue undersides grow from the top of the head. It has yellow eyes with black sclera, a dark pink beak-like mouth, and lighter purple lids. Its main body is dark purple and has six round yellow lights on the front and back. There is also a yellow stripe that almost surrounds the upper body. Its main body is covered in a transparent coat with two white fins at the bottom that act as legs. There is a long tentacle on either side of the coat with a dark pink tip and white blackbird fins at the ends.

Malamar has strong hypnotic powers which he uses to force others to follow his orders. People often use this ability for evil deeds. He lures prey with his glittering body and hypnotic movements, then traps it with his tentacles. The victim is then refined with digestive fluids. Prior to Generation 8, Malamar and its pre-evolution, Inkay, were the only known Pokémon that could learn Topsy-Turvy.

Inkay is a blue squid-like Pokémon. It has a transparent coat with a rounded pink body on the inside that has several yellow circular lights. Z przodu znajdują się cztery światła, a z tyłu dwa. Two transparent tentacles are attached to its mantle; its other tentacles are part of its main body. It has round black eyes and a pink beak-like mouth. Inkay is often confused with the aquatic type due to its appearance.

Those who stare at the lights on Inkay’s body are bewildered and lose the will to fight; this allows him to escape. He can also use these bright spots to send messages in the form of complex flashing rhythms and to attract victims. The victim is then trapped and held in place by his tentacles.
