How to create a spiral with heart center of sinewave spheres

There are many goals that can be achieved with custom illustrations. Blog article cover images are one of those that are becoming more and more popular from resource to resource. Original graphics catch readers’ attention and quickly transfer the topic of the post. With extensive experience in creating unique graphics for Tubik blog articles, our artist Yaroslava Yatsuba shares tips and practices for creating illustrations for your blog.

How to create a spiral with heart center of sinewave spheres

When entrusted with the task of illustrating an article for a computer blog for the first time, Jarosława faced the problem of metaphorically transferring the topic of the article by means of a graphic design. The specificity of the area required the search for new ideas for the implementation of the task.

In her creative process, the designer developed the following approach to the task. After reading the specific topic of the article and communicating with the author or publisher:

  • analyzes the overall message of the content
  • tries to define a keyword that can be used as a starting point for an illustration
  • there are parallels between it and other spheres of human activity
  • consider ways to recreate a theme using colors and shades.

Jarosław shaped three basic methods with practice, which he used to create illustrations on the blog.

This method seems to be the simplest but it doesn’t mean it’s the most winning. The literal method means showing a character working on a laptop, desktop computer or mobile device; the background may in this case include the device display or interface elements that reflect the topic of the article.

How to create a spiral with heart center of sinewave spheres

As an example let’s check the illustration for an article Gestalt Principles in UI: Principle of Proximity . It has a simple and static composition, which attracts attention with its textures and bright color accents.

How to create a spiral with heart center of sinewave spheres

The same method using dynamic composition and gradients is applied to the graphics for the article Review of Popular Interface Design Trends in 2017 .

The method of connection is that the characters face the interface, interact with its elements, reflecting metaphorical exaggerations like a small figure on a big button, a character coming out of a cell phone and the like.

How to create a spiral with heart center of sinewave spheres

In the given illustration to the article about UI animation , the smartphone plays the role of a curtain wall or screen like the one used in a puppet theatre and designers reflect actors each of which shows a specific model of motion performance. Contrary to the illustrations presented above, here we see a group composition in which all the characters are equally important. Textures drawn by hand and rich color of the background draw user’s eye to the center.

How to create a spiral with heart center of sinewave spheres

The same approach to applying a dynamic composition that unfolds around a spiral is used for the illustrations in this article.

The allegory method in the illustration means that the IT sphere is projected onto other spheres of personal or professional life and is shown through the prism of another area. In the illustrations of this kind, the images of devices become secondary or aren’t used at all. The plot can be reinforced with unexpected perspectives or metaphors.

Designer’s Tip: Watch the references with dancers or sportsmen — they are always expressive and dynamic.

How to create a spiral with heart center of sinewave spheres

The illustration above is based on a game with the keyword “Goals”. The image of the basketball player fits the theme perfectly, as the moment of the shot is a true reflection of the achievement of the goal. Rich, eye-catching colors add confidence and strength to the illustration.

How to create a spiral with heart center of sinewave spheres

Another example to check is the illustration created for the article 3C of Interface Design: Color, Contrast, Content . The designer chose the keyword “Color” as the basic semantic element and showed the literal process of coloring something with paint. The contrast is reflected in the color palette of the graphics, while the content is presented with the office furniture elements visible in the photo. The cat becomes a bright detail that adds dynamics and humor to the scene.

The designer’s advice: do not forget that allegories should be recognizable and easy to understand by people from different countries and cultures, as most of the articles in this field are written for a large international audience.

Animation can expand the potential of graphics and make even a simple illustration original and effective.

How to create a spiral with heart center of sinewave spheres

This animation is based on the illustration to the article UX Design Glossary: Navigation Elements . The movement made the graphics expressive and reinforced the accents.

Color. The right choice of color and texture adds harmony to the perception of the graphics in relation to the theme. Plus, it supports the psychological perception of illustrations and introduces the right mood – bright colors are great for entertainment, and the minimalist palette matches the business theme well.

Composition. Creating the illustration, it’s essential to decide on the way of theme presentation — by means of one character catching all the attention of the viewer or by means of a group of characters interacting with each other and reflecting the process based on the article message.

Details. Working on an illustration, don’t forget about the details and accent which make an important contribution into the general image, style, and originality of the illustration — as well as correct punctuation makes a sentence better.

Inspiration. Gather your huge collection of references and images for inspiration. These can be poses of people you like, beautiful color palettes and combinations, interesting photos, your own sketches, illustrations, and works by other artists. What’s important, you have to get inspired instead of trying to copy someone else. Sometimes just looking at these inspirational sets can ignite the flame of the idea in your head.

Chakra Wind Chime – Seven silver spiral stones

by Woodstock Windchimes

These beautiful bells have both profound meaning and healing properties.

The seven stones of this wind bell are aligned in a line of an ascending column just as the seven chakras are aligned along the spine of the human body.

Woodstock’s Chakra Chimes combine color and sound to emphasize the ancient importance of the main energy centers of the human body. Eastern philosophy may be difficult for the Western scientific mind to assimilate, yet many of the Eastern claims have proven scientifically sanctified by the tradition of truth that they are. Read more about the seven chakras in Chakra Awakening. See the excerpt below.

Woodstock Chakra Chimes aims to remind us of the power of mind over matter and, through sound, to give us a small insight into the balance between physical and metaphysics.

This product is designed to hang with a rope, not an o-ring.

“You are a spiritual being living in a physical, human body. But the physical body that you wake up every morning and put to sleep every night, the one that hurts you or makes you feel excited about completing a five-mile run is often the only body we focus on. Equally important to your well-being are your other three bodies: mental, emotional, and spiritual. These bodies are made up of your thoughts (mental body), your feelings (emotional body) and your connection with the spirit (spiritual body). Even though you can’t see your thoughts, feelings, and your spirit, you know they exist. You know how low you feel when your feelings are hurt by someone, just as you know how depleted you feel when you don’t read your favorite books and newspapers or spend time in quiet contemplation.

The landscape of the seven main chakras helps you understand where all four of your bodies are located. Table 1.1 lists the seven chakras and associated colors: crown, third eye, throat, heart, solar plexus, navel and root. The three lower chakras are related to the physical part that connects you to the more mundane aspects of life on planet Earth: food, shelter and water. The first three chakras are the spiritual chakras which help you remember your divine connection with your spiritual nature or celestial connection. Il chakra del cuore è il ponte tra i tre chakra superiori e i tre chakra inferiori, portando il Cielo sulla Terra e la Terra sul Cielo. Imagine the chakras as a divine continuum where physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs mix and intensify from root to crown.

Remember that the chakras are not static. These whirling energy centers enclose the space around the body. For example, the heart center is made up of a band of energy that extends from the area where your heart is and wraps around your hips and behind you. Use your imagination and visualize the energy radiating around your entire body. These energetic vibrations create your aura which is so full of the colors of the rainbow or the rainbow body. The speed at which this abundance of energy vibrates is directly related to the color and sound associated with each of the chakras that I will discuss in the following chapters. “

Topiary forms

Topiary is a plant that has been cut into any desired shape.

The name Topia derives from ancient Rome, where the ornamental gardens were cultivated by slaves called Topiari.

Topiary can be found in an unlimited range of shapes, you can buy them already formed or make them yourself. Some topiary forms are: triangles, cubes, spirals, spheres, tiered globes, and even small animals and birds.

Conditions for growing rosemary

The rosemary plant prefers a warm, dry climate, but is understanding and will grow anywhere in zones 8 to 10. It loves light, alkaline soils that drain well. In cold climates, rosemary can be considered an annual plant or grown indoors or in a greenhouse. To grow rosemary indoors as a houseplant, it’s best to place it in a bright window or plant light. Spray the plant frequently and water when the soil is dry to the touch. A cool, well-ventilated place is best. Collecting branch tips will encourage bushy growth.

Uses of rosemary

Garden-grown rosemary herb can make a beautiful edging and is great for a rock garden. The suspended form is perfect for containers, on a slope or hanging on a wall. Plant together with other herbs, in a vegetable garden or at home. Rosemary can be cut into topiary shapes such as banners or pyramids. The flowers attract bees and other useful pollinators.

Containers can be found and they come in many different shapes and sizes. First, think about how big your plant will be and what pot you will need, consider the size suitable for the area you intend to use it. What kind of material you want to use, consider the weight. You will need to move it, in which case consider using a lightweight material such as plastic, fiberglass, or foam. How to make a boxwood spiral topiary .. Step by step

Growing Your Own Topiary rosemary

Topiary can consist of woody perennials and some flowering plants such as holly, ivy, boxwood, and hydrangeas. The herb Rosemary is useful in the kitchen, beautiful in the garden, it can also be trained and trimmed into ornamental shapes.

It can be grown as a hedge, for fences or borders, but it can also be ornamental.

Growing your own Topiary rosemary is a rewarding experience, watching it grow into the desired shape and then clipping and trimming to keep it as such. Training and trimming a Rosemary plant into a topiary takes time but is rewarding to do.

There are many other plants that you can use to shape into a topiary., however, the Rosemary for me is the best choice, as it has other uses as well, when my Rosemary needs a clipping, I can take the branches, shape them into a wreath by tying them onto a wire circle. Then I hang a wreath in the kitchen and pinch the pieces that serve for cooking. The wonderful fragrance is an added bonus.

The Topiary rosemary makes for a great and practical housewarming or hostess gift. Stanowi również bardzo ładne nakrycie do salonu.

Items needed for this ritual:
4 sprigs of holly;
1 long strand of golden Christmas tree garland, the longer the better;
heating candles in holders that protect the flame. More specifically, these candles will be placed on the floor and you will want to protect your long dresses from the fire. Ideally, it would be enough to place the spiral around the perimeter of the wreath.

Use a wreath (or two threads if you want to make it bigger) to create a spiral in the center of the floor so that the space in the center is large enough to create a walkable path. Place the heaters around the perimeter of the spiral. Place the holly at the entrance to the spiral. Light the candles around the spiral just before starting the ritual.

Read the following just before starting the ritual:

Putting bright lights on Christmas trees and around the house began with the tradition of lighting candles and fire in honor of the return of the sun. The fiery log of Yule represents the new shining sun. A piece of Yule log, which is traditionally oak, is stored from year to year, ensuring continuity at the end of the old year and the beginning of the new; after death there is a rebirth. A common element of the Yule ritual when performed outdoors is jumping around the fire and making wishes for the year to come. Tonight we combine this basic idea with the spiral associated with the Goddess, winter and the winter solstice.

The spiral is the basic shape found in nature. For the ancients, the spiral was a sacred symbol of the Goddess and her transforming powers. Our ancestors knew this and we are only rediscovering the vortex of energy in the spiral that allows us to connect with our innermost selves, the web of life and the Divine.

In ancient Newgrange, Ireland, there is a series of three spirals on the back wall of the inner chamber, 20 meters from the entrance. At the winter solstice, as well as the day before and the day after tomorrow, the rising sun illuminates these spirals.

The spiral is also a symbol of winter hibernation. During the cold months we turn inside to reflect. But the same spiral of energy that carries us inside us in the winter finally brings us to the light in the spring.

Collect four holly branches and walk around the perimeter of the spiral to define your circle as you say:

“Red and green, holly bright,
Help me leave my circle tonight.
The sun shines white again
Z dzieckiem, Pan Światła."

When summoned, place a sprig of holly at the edge of the circle in each direction, saying:

“Come, spirits of the North, powers of the Earth, your generosity sustained me during the winter. Be with me like a silent cave; a place of renewal. Stay with me tonight.

Come, spirits of the East, powers of Air, sail on winter wings when you bring the golden dawn. Be with me like the clear night sky. Stay with me tonight.

Come spirits of the south, powers of fire, bring the heat of the flame to warm my heart. Be like home with me. Stay with me tonight.

Come, spirits of the West, powers of Water, feed the earth and bathe me with sweet rains. Be with me like silent snow. Stay with me tonight.

Great Mother Goddess, giver of all life, Lady of Heaven and Earth, bring your child, transform the light. Stay with me tonight. Dziś wieczorem świętuję powrót słońca i odrodzenie światła “.

Take the time to think about what you want to bring into your life. When ready, follow the path up the spiral. When you enter, stop and then walk the innermost spiral. Once done, make your wish out loud. You can stop or sit back in the center of the spiral to contemplate your desire and the coming year. When ready, follow the path back from the spiral.

When you come out of the spiral, start singing as you walk around your circle:

"Z tym życzeniem składam,
And with every step I take
Take me downtown
Gdzie budzą się moje sny."

When appropriate, slow down and then stop singing, then say:

“Let my wishes and intentions expressed here tonight manifest in the physical world. As above so below. Bądź błogosławiony “.

Use your usual centering to ground energy or play a recorded one.

Finish the ritual by saying:

"Wielka Matko, która rodzi światło i nadaje kształt naszemu światu, dziękuję Ci za Twoją obecność tej nocy. Proszę o Twoje błogosławieństwo, gdy odchodzisz. Żegnam Cię."

Refusing any direction, pick up the holly you placed on the edge of your circle and put it back at the entrance to the spiral, saying:

“Western Spirits, the Water that fills rivers in spring, thank you for your presence tonight. Stay if you want; go if you have to. I’m saying goodbye.

Spirits of the South, a fire that brings new beginnings, thank you for your presence tonight. Stay if you want; go if you have to. Until we meet again.

Spirits of the East, of the Air and of the precious breath of life, thank you for your presence tonight. Stay if you want; go if you have to. Until we meet again.

The Spirits of the North, the Earth that sustains me, thank you for your presence tonight. Stay if you want; go if you have to. Until we meet again.

Within this philosophy of religion, the theory of the attributes of God in Unification Thought is called the Primary Image Theory. The original image refers to the attributes of God, the causative being. These attributes consist of form and function, including nature, character, skill, creativity and virtue. In this framework, the idea of Logos is explored.

The attributes of God are expressed in different ways by different religions. Unification Thought examines God’s character and attributes as The Divine Character and The Divine Image. These form as the Original Image, the hallmarks of God’s traits. In this first representation of the three, the basis of being is established by examining the fundamental qualities of the creator and the creature. It is from this first proposition that a ‘theory of resemblance’ can also be formed where humankind might come to resemble the nature of the creator and by doing so, sustain the virtues evident throughout such a cosmology.

Friedrich Schiller suggested that a culture in chaos cannot perceive the rules. By examining the nature of the creator as the basis of existence, the self can be seen as the authentic or true self, clinging to innate qualities and virtues; it is these characteristics that prove the principles. From these universal qualities and creative and cultural dynamics, Schiller’s question can then be answered. In this presentation, principles established on the ground and rooted in harmony are explored. Only by correctly and fully understanding the divine image, as well as the divine character, will we be able to fundamentally solve the problems of human life, society, history and the world. This presentation is followed by Ontology and Primal Image Theory, which together provide a clear picture of the terrain, of being and of healthy cultural expressions. The other two presentations can be found here on the site. Note: the presentation is supported by the text available at the link of the third slide
